Crypto shouldn’t be the bottleneck.

Independent year-end holdings and values for your SMSF clients’ digital assets — ready for the accounts and the auditor.

A client screenshot prompting more evidence requests while the year-end file waits

THE PROBLEM YOU ALREADY KNOW

Crypto stalls the year-end file.

The client sends a screenshot, which triggers more evidence requests, and the return grinds to a halt. Hardware wallets don’t even provide a statement to work from.

What you receive

Everything the accountant and the auditor need, in one report.

Holdings

A holdings schedule

Every in-scope wallet and exchange account, by asset and address. On-chain holdings as at balance date; exchange balances as retrieved on the verification date.

DAVO

Independent market values

DAVO™ (Digital Asset Valuation Oracle): a volume-weighted average across tier-one global exchanges, as at balance date, supporting market value under SIS reg 8.02B. Every price is verifiable by your auditor at no cost.

Date-stamped

Date-stamped findings

Exactly what was checked, how, and when. Nothing to explain twice.

One shared report connecting the accounting firm and the auditor, with a finding flagged before lodgement

WHAT IT DOES FOR THE AUDIT

You and the auditor work from the same document.

The auditor receives independent third-party evidence, not client-prepared records. Your firm is a named recipient of the report.

If the evidence shows fund assets mixed with personal holdings (a reg 4.09A issue), the report says so plainly — you find out before lodgement, not from a qualified audit.

Where we stop

We report findings. We do not form an audit opinion, give financial advice or recommend investments.

DACS

Supplies the evidence

Date-stamped, independent findings on holdings and values.

You

Prepare the accounts

From the same report the auditor receives.

The auditor

Concludes

The audit opinion is theirs alone.

Referring a client

Three steps, and you stay in the loop.

  1. STEP 1

    Introduce the trustee to DACS.

  2. STEP 2

    The trustee onboards.

They complete onboarding and identity verification, and supply wallet addresses and read-only exchange access. We never ask for private keys or seed phrases.

  3. STEP 3

    We issue the report.

We run the procedures and issue the report to the named recipients — you, the auditor and the trustee.

Or engage us directly

If you’d rather manage it within your practice, engage DACS directly and buy reports in packs of 10. You hold the client relationship and bill the report within your own fee. Every report is prepared to the same procedures and issued to the same named recipients, whoever engages us.

We pay no referral fees

DACS pays no referral fees or commissions to anyone. Our findings have to be independent of whoever introduces or engages us — that is what your auditor relies on.

Ready when your clients are.

Refer a trustee, or ask Metis about buying reports in packs.
