1) Who is DACS?

Digital Asset Custody Solutions Pty Ltd (DACS) is an Australian company established in 2018. We provide compliance‑focused services to businesses, Self‑Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs), accountants, and individuals holding digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. DACS is registered with AUSTRAC as a Digital Currency Exchange (DCE100645063-001).

2) What services does DACS provide?

Our core service is Digital Asset Attestation Reports (also called "Proof of Holdings" or "Verification of Holdings"). These reports are designed for accountants, auditors, and trustees to verify digital asset balances held in wallets, exchanges, or custodial accounts for compliance and audit purposes.

We also operate an OTC (over‑the‑counter) concierge service for selected clients seeking to buy or sell Bitcoin and other approved cryptocurrencies.

3) Why do I need a Digital Asset Attestation Report?

Auditors and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) increasingly require independent evidence that digital assets exist and are under the control of the fund or individual. Screenshots and statutory declarations are often no longer accepted as sufficient proof. A DACS report provides independent, tamper‑proof verification that satisfies accountants, auditors, and regulators.

4) Who typically uses your services?

5) What assets can DACS verify?

We can verify holdings across hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor), software wallets (e.g., MetaMask, Trust Wallet), and custodial exchanges (e.g., CoinSpot, Binance, Coinbase).

Our approved asset list (for Tier 2) includes: BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL, BNB, XRP, ADA, AVAX, LINK.

6) How much does a report cost?

Tier 1 – $350 + GST (Special Offer)

7) How does the verification process work?

  1. Onboarding: The client (or trustee) sets up a secure account on the DACS Digital Asset Attestation Platform (DAAP).
  2. KYC/KYB: We verify the identity of the trustee(s) or directors.
  3. Wallet/Exchange Data: We use encryption to securely confirm control of the wallet/account. For hardware wallets, we can either:
    • confirm an account using a signed message to verify control of an xPub, or
    • accept an xPub (extended public key) uploaded via our secure DAAP portal.
    For exchanges, we accept verified custodial statements. We never ask for private keys, seed phrases, or any control of your crypto — ever.
  4. Verification: DACS validates balances directly on‑chain or via custodial records.
  5. Report Issued: A tamper‑proof PDF is generated for auditors and accountants.

8) How long does it take to receive a report?

Most reports are completed within 3–5 business days once payment and all required information are received. Complex cases may take longer.

9) How secure is my data with DACS?

We never request or store private keys, seed phrases, or passwords. Verification is performed using read‑only public data (wallet addresses, xPubs, signed messages) and exchange statements. All client data is stored securely and reports are digitally signed to ensure integrity.

10) Do you provide investment or tax advice?

No. DACS does not provide investment, financial, or tax advice. We provide independent verification and reporting services only. For financial or tax matters, you should consult your accountant or licensed adviser.

11) How do I order a report?

  1. Request a quote via dacs.io/request report.
  2. Choose the pricing tier that's relevant to your situation, Tier 1, 2 or 3
  3. Fill in the form and you will receive the quote (price verification) by reply email (T1 & 2 is instant, T3 may take 24 hrs).
  4. Confirm acceptance of the quote by reply email.
  5. Pay the invoice issued by DACS (we use Stripe Secure Payments).
  6. Complete onboarding through our DAAP portal (https://portal.dacs.io).
  7. DACS will deliver your verified report once checks are complete. If there are any questions we will contact you.

12) Can DACS help with multiple financial years?

Yes. Reports can be prepared for multiple financial years. Additional years are billed at 50% of the latest report fee (excluding setup).

13) What if I hold assets on multiple wallets or exchanges?

We support multiple wallets, exchanges, and custodial accounts. Additional fees apply per wallet, per custodial account, and per extra asset. This ensures accurate and complete verification.

14) Do you also buy and sell crypto?

Yes. Through our concierge OTC desk, we can facilitate secure transactions for clients looking to buy or sell Bitcoin and selected digital assets. All transactions are conducted in line with AUSTRAC regulations.
